About this opportunity
The Maryland Office of the Attorney General is requesting proposals for a Veeam Data Platform backup solution under a Small Business Reserve set-aside, with proposals due June 24, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. This procurement is restricted to certified small business vendors and current Master Contractors under the Commercial Off-the-Shelf Software (COTS 2012) contract (060B2490021).
The scope comprises Veeam Data Platform Advanced Universal Subscription (35 bundles at 1-year subscription with 10-instance packs each) and Veeam Data Cloud Vault Foundation for Azure (300 TBs at 1-year subscription with 24/7 support). The solution must provide cloud storage for local files, virtual server images, and physical servers, with immutable backup capability for ransomware protection. Bidders must be authorized Veeam resellers and must submit proof of manufacturer authorization.
The contract term is one year from the subscription start date, with an estimated software license start date of July 1, 2026 and cloud vault services start date of July 6, 2027. Place of performance is 200 St. Paul Place, Baltimore, Maryland. Evaluation criteria are timeliness and accuracy of quote and cost basis for award. Pricing must remain valid for at least 90 days after the proposal due date. Bidders must provide estimated ship dates, the manufacturer's suggested retail price, all licensing terms and EULAs, and acceptable use policies.
Invoices are submitted to Paul Etzler (petzler@oag.state.md.us) and Contracts Manager J. Clark (jclark@oag.state.md.us), with one-time pricing items billed within 30 days of acceptance and annual pricing items billed on contract anniversary dates.
