About this opportunity
Gratiot County Parks and Recreation is seeking proposals for a Vault Toilet Remodel Project involving the reconstruction of six 12'x8' vault toilet buildings located at Hubscher and Reed County Parks in Michigan. The project requires contractors to remove existing materials inside and outside the structures and replace them with sheet metal matching current park buildings while preserving the existing roofs. Contractors must provide comprehensive pricing that includes all labor, equipment, and materials, with a mandatory completion date of December 20, 2024. The proposal deadline is November 1, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., with submissions to be sent to Jon Rayburn, Director of Gratiot County Parks and Recreation. Evaluation criteria include the ability to meet county needs, with the county reserving the right to accept or reject any proposals and not necessarily selecting the lowest-cost bid. Interested vendors are encouraged to contact Jon Rayburn at (989) 875-5278 or parksandrec@gratiotmi.com to request detailed drawings or schedule site visits prior to the submission deadline.
The contract requires extensive insurance coverage, including Workers' Compensation Insurance and a Commercial General Liability Insurance policy with limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence. Contractors must provide a separate Owners' and Contractors' Protective Liability Policy naming Gratiot County as an additional insured. While no specific set-aside designations or restrictions on responding organizations are mentioned, the county emphasizes comprehensive insurance requirements and the ability to provide high-quality work. Vendors are invited to submit supplementary information that might benefit the county, with the procurement process allowing for flexibility in evaluation and potential clarification requests. The project does not specify a precise budget range, but contractors should be prepared to provide detailed pricing that covers all aspects of the vault toilet remodeling work, including materials, labor, and equipment. Potential bidders should note the project's specific location requirements at Reed County Park (3181 E Johnson Rd, Ithaca, MI) and Hubscher County Park (8300 W Washington Rd, Sumner, MI).
