About this opportunity

The City of Tampa is soliciting sealed bids for various steel parts to support the Container Shop's repairs of steel front end load containers, compactors, and roll-offs, and the McKay Bay Waste to Energy Facility's repairs under ITB 26-P-00555, with bids due October 2, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. A 5% bid discount, not to exceed $10,000, is available to City of Tampa-certified Small Local Business Enterprises (SLBEs), applied for evaluation purposes only.

The procurement is divided into two divisions. Division I includes 31 line items of sheet metal, steel plate, diamond plate, angle iron, tubing, and pipe specifications in quantities ranging from one to ten units for the Container Shop at 4010 West Spruce Street, Tampa, Florida 33607. Division II comprises 31 line items of carbon steel plates, wear plate, angle iron, C-channels, seamless pipes, and stainless steel components in quantities ranging from one to 40 units for the WTE Plant at 107 North 34th Street, Tampa, Florida 33605. All materials must be new, unused, and meet American Iron and Steel Institute (A.I.S.I.) standards. Firm, fixed pricing must include all shipping costs F.O.B. to the designated facility.

The contract term is one year beginning within 120 days of bid opening, with options for renewal by mutual written agreement for four additional one-year periods and three unilateral thirty-day extension options at the City's discretion. Delivery must occur within 15 working days after order receipt; late delivery incurs a 3.5% per-day discount up to 15 working days. The City reserves the right to award by division, line item, or aggregate total to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. Bidders must maintain $1 million per-occurrence / $2 million general-aggregate commercial general liability insurance, automobile liability coverage, and worker's compensation insurance. All awardees must comply with Florida E-Verify requirements, provide proof of Florida business registration, and comply with the City's ethics code and non-discrimination policies. Bids are submitted electronically through the OpenGov eProcurement Portal.
