About this opportunity
The state and local contract opportunity is a procurement by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) in Dallas County, Texas, seeking to acquire a specific valve-solenoid component with the item number 2097146, operating at 37VDC. This procurement requires potential vendors to register through the Bonfire platform to access detailed bidding information and complete the vendor response process. The solicitation was posted on December 16, 2025, with proposals due by December 23, 2025, indicating a relatively short response window. Key procurement requirements include mandatory FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs integrated into the overall pricing, and strict adherence to delivery timelines, as DART considers delivery speed and reliability essential to contract performance. Vendors must submit comprehensive invoices electronically to APInvoices@dart.org, including specific details such as purchase order number, item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals.
While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned in the provided documentation, the procurement appears open to qualified vendors capable of meeting DART's stringent technical and logistical specifications. The purchase order terms and conditions document indicates DART's standard Net 30 payment terms and reserves the right for the contracting officer to terminate orders for non-performance. Though specific budget ranges are not disclosed, the procurement seems focused on a precise technical component suggesting a targeted, potentially low to moderate-value contract. The solicitation emphasizes vendor accountability, with potential default termination if delivery schedules are not met, and requires meticulous documentation and compliance with established purchase order terms. Vendors should carefully review the attached Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document to fully understand the contractual expectations and operational requirements associated with this procurement opportunity.
