About this opportunity
Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking procurement of mechanical valves through a competitive bidding process for a contract opportunity coded as 2097419. The solicitation was posted on January 8, 2026, with proposals due by January 15, 2026, and requires mandatory registration through the Bonfire platform to access full bid details. Vendors must submit comprehensive bids that include FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs integrated into the overall price, adhering to DART's strict delivery requirements where time and delivery rates are considered essential contract elements. Potential suppliers must prepare detailed submissions containing specific documentation including purchase order number, item descriptions, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. The procurement emphasizes precise mechanical valve specifications, though specific technical requirements are not fully detailed in the provided documentation. Vendors must comply with DART's standard Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which outline comprehensive expectations for product quality, delivery, and performance standards.
The contract opportunity does not explicitly specify set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged business enterprises based on the available information. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are mentioned in the documentation. The solicitation indicates standard payment terms of Net 30, with invoices to be submitted electronically to APInvoices@dart.org and requiring triplicate submission including one copy marked "Original". While specific award values are not disclosed, the procurement appears to be a standard operational purchase for mechanical valves to support DART's transit infrastructure. Vendors must be prepared to provide commercial warranties, comply with equal opportunity employment requirements, and certify compliance with regulations regarding foreign terrorist organizations and Israel boycotts. The contract will be governed under Texas law, with any legal venue established in Dallas County. Prospective bidders should carefully review the full Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document to understand the comprehensive contractual obligations and performance expectations.
