The procurement opportunity, identified by solicitation number 2025-UWMIL-00991-RFB, specifically requires high-quality new sign products, explicitly excluding used, demonstrator, obsolete, or discontinued items. The contract will be a one-year agreement commencing upon award notification, with potential future sign requirements. Interested suppliers must submit their responses electronically through the procurement tool at https://bids.sciquest.com/apps/Router/PublicEvent?CustomerOrg=UWisconsin, requiring careful navigation to locate the specific bid documents. The solicitation was posted on April 4, 2025, with proposals due by April 28, 2025. Potential bidders may submit questions directly through the procurement tool or via email to uwmbids@uwm.edu. Technical support for the Shop@UW+ supplier portal is available through Jaggaer Supplier Support at 1-800-233-1121 Option 2 or through an online support ticket system.
While the solicitation does not explicitly mention set-aside designations or specific vendor restrictions, the procurement spans jurisdictions including Milwaukee County and Mattoon Village in Wisconsin. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the documentation, and no specific budget range or award value is provided. The procurement appears to be an open competitive bid accessible to qualified suppliers capable of meeting the sign production and installation specifications. Potential bidders should be prepared to demonstrate capabilities in sign design, manufacturing, and installation, with a focus on producing high-quality, new signage for the UWM campus. The procurement process requires careful attention to technical submission requirements, with recommendations to submit bids early to mitigate potential technical issues. Suppliers interested in this opportunity should thoroughly review all bid documents and ensure compliance with the specified technical and procedural requirements.
