Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania - Bloomsburg Campus is seeking General Contractors to bid on the Upper Campus Paving - Welsh Circle Road project, identified as CWU-73-B. The procurement involves milling and repaving Welsh Circle Road and repairing areas around storm catch basins, with work to be accomplished by Separate Prime Contractors according to Pennsylvania statute. The Lead Prime Contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, superintendence, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the construction as specified in the contract documents. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit is scheduled for March 31, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Upper Campus Tennis Court Parking Lot in Bloomsburg, PA. There are no specific set-aside designations or restrictions on bidding organizations mentioned in the documentation. The procurement is open to General Contractors capable of completing the specified road paving and repair work. While no incumbent vendors are listed, bidders should note that PennBid charges a modest fee of 1/3% for fixed contracts if awarded, with a minimum award fee of $100 and a maximum of $5,000. The contract is part of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education's (PASSHE) transition to a new construction bidding platform. While a specific budget range is not provided, the scope suggests a moderate-scale infrastructure improvement project focused on campus road rehabilitation. Potential bidders should carefully review all documentation and ensure compliance with the specified requirements for submission and project execution.
