Unlined steel drums

The state of New York, specifically Bronx County, is soliciting a procurement opportunity for unlined steel drums through a competitive bidding process. The contract seeks 55-gallon, open-top steel drums with specific requirements, including no dents, no chemical residue, and no accompanying lids. The procurement appears to prioritize green-colored drums, suggesting potential environmental considerations. The opportunity was posted on September 5, 2025, with a submission deadline of September 9, 2025, indicating a relatively short procurement window. Vendors must carefully review the specifications and ensure their proposed drums precisely match the county's requirements, with attention to the detailed physical characteristics of the steel drums.

While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, potential respondents should be prepared to demonstrate compliance with standard governmental procurement regulations. The procurement appears to be open to standard commercial vendors capable of supplying industrial-grade steel drums that meet the specified criteria. No incumbent vendor information or specific budget range was included in the original posting. Interested suppliers should be prepared to provide comprehensive documentation of their manufacturing capabilities, drum specifications, and ability to meet the precise requirements outlined by Bronx County. Potential vendors should also be ready to provide detailed product specifications, pricing structures, and potential delivery timelines as part of their submission.
