About this opportunity
The University of Georgia is requesting proposals for a microfridge rental agreement serving student housing under an eRFP with proposals due January 7, 2022. This is a revenue-share contract in which the awarded vendor receives no direct payment from the University but instead funds operations through student rental sales and pays the University a percentage of revenues.
The scope is an optional microwave and refrigerator/freezer combination unit rental program for University Housing. The vendor will manage all operational costs, including equipment acquisition, maintenance, logistics, and customer service, while sharing a portion of sales revenue with the University.
This single-award procurement is contingent on vendor willingness to structure compensation as a revenue split rather than a fixed fee or cost-reimbursable model. The University will not fund the program; financial viability depends entirely on student adoption and rental pricing. The RFP does not specify the revenue-share percentage or define financial performance requirements that would trigger contract termination or renegotiation.
