About this opportunity

The University System of Georgia, specifically the Board of Regents, is seeking sealed bids for an Equipment Package 4 for the West Campus Dining, Learning and Well-Being Center located in Athens, Georgia. The procurement involves furnishing all materials, labor, tools, skills, equipment, shop drawings, samples, and incidentals necessary for successful project completion. This comprehensive equipment package is designed to support approximately 5,000 first-year and upper-class students housed in ten residence halls within the University's West Campus Precinct. The 68,000-square-foot facility will focus on dining, learning, and wellness needs. Bids must be submitted electronically via the Jaggaer Sourcing Director online bidding tool by Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM EST, with a public bid opening scheduled via a specified Zoom link. Each bid must include a bid bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Georgia, representing at least five percent of the total base bid amount. All questions regarding bid documents must be submitted via email to Kim Eldridge at kimberly.eldridge@uga.edu, with no telephone inquiries accepted.

The solicitation indicates that all items in this Equipment Package are considered Sole Brand, which may limit potential bidders. While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned, bidders must be authorized to transact business in the State of Georgia. Potential vendors will need to carefully review the detailed plans, specifications, and contract documents, which can be obtained by sending an email request to the issuing officer. Though the exact budget range is not specified in the documentation, the comprehensive nature of the project suggests a significant investment in furnishing and equipping the new campus facility. Successful bidders will need to demonstrate technical expertise in providing specialized equipment for dining, learning, and wellness spaces within an educational institutional setting. The bid bond requirement and the sole brand designation indicate a stringent procurement process that prioritizes quality and specific technical requirements for the University of Georgia's new campus center.
