About this opportunity

The University System of Georgia's Board of Regents is seeking sealed electronic bids through the Jaggaer Sourcing Director online bidding tool for the UGA West Campus Dining, Learning and Well-Being Center Equipment Package 2 located in Athens, GA. The procurement involves furnishing materials, labor, tools, skills, equipment, shop drawings, samples, and incidentals for a comprehensive equipment package. The project is designed to support approximately 5,000 first-year and upper-class students across ten residence halls within the university's West Campus Precinct, with the new 68,000-square-foot facility focusing on dining, learning, and wellness needs. Bidders must submit a bid bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Georgia, representing at least 5% of the total base bid amount. All bid documents can be obtained by emailing Emily Salvia at emily.riley@uga.edu, with all questions to be submitted via email by the designated Q&A deadline. The bid submission deadline is March 20, 2025, with bids to be publicly opened and announced at the specified time.

The solicitation indicates that most items in the Equipment Package are considered Sole Brand, with only items marked with an asterisk on the Pricing Schedule eligible for value engineering or alternate options. Vendors must submit requests for approved equals to the Issuing Officer by the Q&A deadline, with approved alternatives to be listed in a subsequent addendum. While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned, bidders must be authorized to transact business in the State of Georgia. The procurement does not specify a precise budget range or award value, but given the comprehensive nature of the 68,000-square-foot facility and the extensive equipment package, it represents a significant institutional investment. The project appears to be a new construction initiative aimed at enhancing student residential infrastructure, suggesting potential opportunities for vendors specializing in institutional dining, learning, and wellness equipment and furnishings.
