About this opportunity
The University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital is seeking a business consultant through an electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) issued under the State Purchasing Act. The procurement aims to secure a qualified supplier to provide comprehensive business consulting services, including code development and cleanup, veterinary market-based pricing analysis, cost center evaluation, and reporting/dashboard solutions. Bidders must demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of experience working with large animal veterinary hospitals to be considered eligible. The contract will have an initial term of one year with four optional renewal periods. The procurement process includes a potential demonstration phase where top-ranked suppliers may be invited to showcase their technical solutions, with strict guidelines that prohibit proposal revisions during demonstrations. Proposals are due by August 25, 2025, with the initial posting made on August 8, 2025. The State Entity reserves the right to evaluate and select suppliers based on their qualifications and proposed solutions, with evaluation criteria detailed in section 6.2.2 of the eRFP.
No specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises are explicitly mentioned in the provided document. The procurement appears to be open to qualified business consulting firms with demonstrable experience in veterinary hospital business operations. While the exact budget range is not specified, the comprehensive nature of the required services suggests a substantial contract value. The procurement is specifically for Clarke County, Georgia, and will support the University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital's operational and strategic objectives. The potential for up to five years of contract duration (initial one-year term plus four optional renewals) indicates a significant commitment to the selected consultant. The procurement process includes a negotiation phase outlined in section 6.6, which allows for further discussion of proposal factors and potential cost adjustments. Interested bidders should carefully review the full eRFP to understand the complete scope of requirements and evaluation process.
