About this opportunity

The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is seeking to select consultants to provide materials testing and inspection services for various non-specific UCLA projects over a term of up to three years, with an option to extend for an additional three-year term. The selected consultants will perform work under a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with the University, with authorizations for specific assignments from various UCLA departments as needed. The scope of services will vary according to the requirements of each assigned task, with appropriate fees negotiated under UCLA policy. UCLA is seeking firms with familiarity in a full range of project types, including new construction, renovations, housing, classrooms, laboratories, and dining facilities, and prior experience in public university settings is preferred. Responses to the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) are due by 10:00 a.m. on April 8, 2024.

UCLA intends to select up to three consultants, and individual project assignments will be made based on project type, scope of work, and dollar value, with the intent of evenly distributing work among the three firms over the duration of the contract. There is no minimum or maximum guarantee of the number of assignments for each firm. The anticipated aggregate fees range from $100,000 to $3,000,000 over the term of the PSA, though selection does not guarantee the number of tasks assigned or value of fees expended. The selected firms must obtain and maintain specified insurance coverage, and show evidence of their equal opportunity employment policy.

The scope of services will vary according to the specific requirements of each assigned task, with appropriate fees negotiated under UCLA policy at the time of each authorization. The complete RFQ packet will be available at: http://www.capitalprograms.ucla.edu/Contracts/RFQProjects on Friday, March 22, 2024, responses to the RFQ are due by or before 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 8, 2024.
