Key qualifications include proven experience in cost estimation, preferential consideration for those with public university setting experience, and the capability to provide estimates across diverse project types. The RFQ evaluation will be based on the Selection Criteria form (Attachment A), with the advertisement period running from April 16 to May 7, 2025. Critical dates include a questions due date of April 23, 2025, and a submission deadline of May 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with proposal documents available through the UCLA Planroom website requiring user registration.

Candidates may be required to demonstrate an Equal Employment Opportunity policy. The contract will be executed through a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with potential authorization from various UCLA departments including Capital Programs, Facilities Management, UCLA Health, UCLA Housing, and UCLA Real Estate. The aggregate fee range for the potential three-year agreement is estimated between $500,000 and $2,000,000, though the university emphasizes that selection does not guarantee the full expenditure of these funds. Final selection and appointment remain contingent upon approval by the University of California Board of Regents or their delegated authority. Prospective consultants should note that this procurement may not cover all cost-estimating services, as separate selections might occur for large projects or specialized assignments requiring unique expertise.
