Key qualifications include proven BIM management experience in complex healthcare facilities, proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Construction Cloud, and point cloud processing tools, and strong knowledge of BIM implementation standards. The procurement will be executed through a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) potentially lasting up to five years, with specific project authorizations issued as needed. Critical dates include the advertisement period from 4/28/2025 to 5/19/2025, with questions due by 5/5/2025 and final submissions required by 10:00 a.m. on 5/19/2025. The selection committee will evaluate proposals using a Selection Criteria form (Attachment A) and determine a shortlist of consultants, with further selection steps at their discretion.

The contract opportunity is open to qualified consultants, with UCLA emphasizing equal access to contracts within legal and university policy limitations. Potential bidders may be required to demonstrate an Equal Employment Opportunity policy. The aggregate fees for the contract are estimated between $500,000 and $1,000,000, with an option to extend the fee limit by an additional $1,000,000 if the contract duration is extended. However, UCLA explicitly notes that selection does not guarantee the full expenditure of these funds. The final selection is contingent upon approval by the University of California Board of Regents or their delegated authority. Prospective consultants must register and download the RFQ packet from the UCLA Planroom website, following specific upload instructions to ensure their submissions are properly located and considered. The contract will cover BIM services for various UCLA Health projects involving new or existing buildings and locations, with scope and fees negotiated per specific project requirements.
