About this opportunity
The Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, Purchasing Department, issued Request for Quotation (RFQ #750767/MB) for the procurement of U-channel reflective panels and mounting brackets on a term contract basis. The procurement seeks 80 units of U-channel reflective panels measuring 3 inches wide by 32 inches tall by 1/8 inch thick, constructed of clear polycarbonate with 3M reflective yellow film and three pre-drilled holes with tamper-proof bolts, along with 75 units of mounting brackets consisting of 2-inch wide by 4-inch tall aluminum stubs with welded gussets, 8-inch square base plates painted forest green, and concrete wedge anchors. These components are intended for integration with existing Palm Tran Bus Stop Sign Posts. Quotations were due by June 20, 2017 at 4:00 p.m., with submissions accepted via fax or email. The term contract shall be awarded for an initial twelve-month period or until the estimated amount is expended, at the County's discretion, with options to renew for four additional twelve-month periods subject to mutual written agreement and appropriation of funds. Delivery is required within thirty calendar days of receipt of a delivery order to 3201 Electronics Way, West Palm Beach, Florida 33407. Respondents must submit manufacturer and brand names, part and model numbers, descriptive literature, cut sheets, and specifications demonstrating compliance with all requirements, with pricing submitted on an all-or-none basis using firm, fixed unit prices valid for ninety days from the opening date.
Award shall be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; however, small business enterprises certified by Palm Beach County and within ten percent of the lowest bid shall receive preference consideration. A five percent local preference discount applies to qualified businesses based in Palm Beach County or Glades. No incumbent vendors or existing contractors were identified in the procurement documents. The County reserves the right to request samples post-submission to verify specification compliance, with non-compliant items to be returned at the vendor's expense for full credit. Respondents are required to provide non-discrimination policy certification and drug-free workplace certification, as well as comply with Palm Beach County's Criminal History Records Check Ordinance for any unescorted facility access. All delivery costs, installation preparation, labor, equipment, materials, and transportation must be included in the quoted price. No specific budget amount or award value was disclosed in the procurement notice.
