About this opportunity
The Savannah Airport Commission (SAC) has initiated a Request for Quotation (RFQ 2025-0038) for the procurement of twenty (20) powered wheelchairs to support airport operations. The solicitation requires vendors to provide brand new wheelchairs with all standard manufacturer features, fully compliant with state and federal safety and emissions regulations. Prospective vendors must submit comprehensive quotes that include detailed equipment specifications, pricing, and complete documentation by September 16, 2025. Key requirements include providing the latest model wheelchairs with all original equipment manufacturer (OEM) standard interior and exterior appointments, ensuring the equipment is unused and without prior repair. The SAC reserves discretionary authority to adjust the final quantity purchased based on cost and budgetary considerations, indicating flexibility in the procurement process.
The solicitation includes several supplementary forms that suggest potential set-aside opportunities, including a Local Small Business Minority Business Form, which implies potential preferences for disadvantaged or minority-owned business enterprises. Vendors must complete multiple mandatory documents, including an Addendum Acknowledgement Form, Specifications Requirements Confirmation Form, Exceptions Sheet, Pricing Sheet, and Vendor Certification. While specific budget ranges are not explicitly detailed, the comprehensive documentation requirements suggest a structured procurement process with potential competitive evaluation criteria. The RFQ appears to be open to multiple vendor types, with an emphasis on ensuring qualified suppliers can meet the technical and operational specifications for powered wheelchair procurement. The contract opportunity is issued by the government of Puerto Rico, potentially indicating broader regional procurement considerations beyond the Savannah Airport Commission's immediate jurisdiction.
