Sarasota County is conducting a Quick Quote (2025-QQ-563) procurement for a comprehensive turf installation project at Newtown Estates Park Baseball Field 2, located at 2800 Newtown Blvd in Sarasota, Florida. The county is seeking a contractor to provide and install 60,000 square feet of Certified TIFTUF Bermuda Turf, specifically requiring "Big Roll" turf between 42" and 48" in width with a 1.5" thickness composed of 0.75" grass and 0.75" soil. The project involves a full field renovation for a baseball field, with a tentative installation date of November 15, 2025. Key procurement dates include a bid release on October 15, 2025, a deadline for questions on October 29, 2025, and a response deadline of October 31, 2025, at 2:30 pm. Contractors must electronically submit proposals through a secure procurement portal and will be evaluated based on responsiveness, responsibility, and lowest total bid price. No specific set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent types were explicitly mentioned in the procurement documents. The project has a maximum budget threshold of $50,000, with the contractor's fee to be inclusive of all costs, including delivery and installation, and no additional fees to be paid by the county. Contractors are required to provide at least three references demonstrating similar experience, though no specific licenses or certifications were noted as mandatory. The county will provide field preparation, including laser grading, and pre-plant fertilization, while the contractor will be responsible for unloading and installing the turf. The installed turf will be warranted for 15 calendar days from the county's acceptance, and the county reserves the right to reject turf of unacceptable quality and request clarifications or additional information from bidders during the procurement process.
