About this opportunity

The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting quotes on truck caps due June 24, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. local time. The solicitation includes two distinct specifications: a fiberglass Maxi High wedge-style cap for a 2011 Ford F150 Extended Cab with 6-1/2 foot bed, and an aluminum cab-high style cap for a 2011 Ford F150 Regular Cab with 8-foot bed. Both trucks are four-wheel drive, white exterior, and require 360-degree visibility windows, clear glass with black beading, radius corners, reinforced roofs, recessed third brake lights, two gas props per door, sliding side windows with screens, standard front windows, t-handles with weather covers, and non-Scotch-Lok connectors. Caps are to be dealer-installed and delivered F.O.B. to the requestor's location.

In-state vendors or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine receive preference in the event of tied bids. Bidders must submit separate unit prices for each cap specification, state definite delivery timeframes, and confirm acceptance of State of Maine procurement cards as a payment method. The State reserves the right to award per-item or as a group, to increase or decrease quantities by up to 10 percent, and to reject any or all quotes. All transportation charges shall be prepaid by the contractor unless otherwise specified. Prices must be quoted delivered to destination and exclude federal and Maine state sales and use taxes. Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder offering best value to the State, with evaluation criteria including quality, conformity to specifications, delivery date, and ultimate cost. Quotes must be submitted electronically.
