About this opportunity

The Town of Branford, Connecticut is seeking sealed unit price bids for an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) trenchless utility rehabilitation project. This procurement is specifically for infrastructure rehabilitation work within the Town of Branford, located in New Haven County. The solicitation (Solicitation Number: 021425) invites qualified contractors to submit bids for utility rehabilitation services, with a focus on trenchless methodologies that minimize surface disruption. Bids will be accepted until 11:30 a.m. local time on March 14, 2025, and will be publicly opened immediately thereafter in the Town Hall basement conference room at 1019 Main Street, Branford. Interested bidders can access project plans and specifications exclusively through digital downloads from the Town of Branford website (www.branford-ct.gov) and the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (CT DAS) website, with no printed bid documents available. The technical point of contact for this solicitation is Dennis Setzko, P.E., Associate Vice President, Water, East Region at AECOM, who can be reached via email for any questions regarding the project.

The solicitation documents do not specify any specific set-aside designations or explicit restrictions on responding organizations, suggesting the procurement is open to all qualified vendors. No information is provided about incumbent vendors, existing infrastructure requirements, or integration specifications. The bid documents also do not disclose a specific budget range or estimated contract value for the trenchless utility rehabilitation work. While the procurement is structured as an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract, which typically allows for flexible project scoping, no precise financial parameters are outlined in the available documentation. The geographic scope is limited to the Town of Branford, and the contract appears designed to establish a unit price framework for utility rehabilitation services that can be deployed as municipal infrastructure needs arise. Potential bidders should carefully review the digital solicitation documents to understand the full technical and operational requirements of the project.
