About this opportunity

Weld County is requesting bids for tree and limb removal and disposal services under an Invitation for Bid, with bids due September 30, 2026 at 10:00 AM and mandatory pre-bid conference attendance required on September 16, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the East Davis Farm site.

The scope comprises two distinct components: an initial lump-sum cleanup of all debris stockpiled at two locations (East Davis Farm in Greeley and Mead Grader Shed Site in Platteville) as of September 16, 2026, and annual on-call tree removal services from October 15, 2026 through October 14, 2027 with renewal options for up to two additional one-year terms. Annual services are estimated at 15–24 workdays on-site with anticipated volumes of 200–250 trees ground and 400–500 cubic yards of wood chips hauled. Pricing is structured as lump sum for initial cleanup at each site, price-per-cubic-yard rates for annual services, and separate hourly rates for on-call work within and beyond a 50-mile radius from Public Works Headquarters (1111 "H" Street, Greeley). Contractors must have a minimum of three years' experience in tree removal, recycling, processing, and disposal, and must be licensed and qualified. Comprehensive insurance is mandatory: Workers' Compensation at statutory limits, Commercial General Liability of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million general aggregate, and Automobile Liability of $1 million per accident, with Weld County named as additional insured. The contractor bears all debris disposal, processing, and facility costs. Work hours are 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday–Friday from approximately April 8 to September 18, and 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday–Friday from September 21 through April 5. Annual renewal pricing is subject to Consumer Price Index adjustments for Denver-Aurora-Lakewood. Weld County reserves the right to not renew and rebid if cost increases are not justified. The award may be split among multiple vendors; initial cleanup and annual services may be awarded separately. Technical questions are due September 21, 2026 at 1:00 PM. Notice of Award is anticipated October 14, 2026, with contract execution expected October 15, 2026.
