About this opportunity

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is requesting bids for refuse and trash collection, removal, and disposal services at Bonham State Park in Bonham, Texas, under IFB, with bids due July 23, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. CST. A pre-bid site visit is encouraged; Park Office Manager Kasey Britton may be contacted at 903-583-5022 to arrange attendance.

The scope includes weekly pickups from September through November and March through August, and bi-weekly pickups from December through February, using eight 3-cubic-yard containers. Additional line items cover extra pickups, container additions or deletions, temporary 30-cubic-yard roll-off containers on an as-needed basis, and overage fees for roll-off containers. Pricing shall be submitted monthly for routine service line items, with all unit prices including administrative fees, fuel surcharges, delivery, pickup, and disposal costs.

Bidders must demonstrate three years of prior experience providing similar services and submit Exhibit A (Company Profile) and Exhibit B (Past Projects with Corresponding References) with a minimum of three verifiable references completed within the previous five years. The contractor must maintain comprehensive insurance coverage: workers' compensation; commercial general liability with $500,000 per-occurrence bodily injury and property damage limits and $1,000,000 aggregate limits; and automobile liability with $500,000 combined single limits, with the State of Texas listed as an additional insured. All labor, materials, equipment, permits, and compliance with federal, state, local, and OSHA environmental and safety regulations are the contractor's responsibility.

The initial contract term runs September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2028, with an option to renew for up to three additional one-year periods based on funds availability and vendor performance. Award will be made on a best value basis considering lowest price, qualifications and experience, delivery and service schedule, past performance, life cycle costs, and installation costs. Bids should be submitted to Purchasing.BidBox@tpwd.texas.gov or mailed to TPWD's Purchasing and Contracting office at 4200 Smith School Road, Austin, Texas 78744.
