About this opportunity
The state and local contract opportunity is issued by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) in Dallas County, Texas, focused on procuring a specific hardware component: a 3/4"-10 bearing strut bolt (reference number 2096807). This procurement requires vendors to register through the Bonfire system to access complete bid details and project specifications. The contract opportunity is structured as a purchase order with strict delivery and performance requirements, mandating FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price. Potential vendors must submit bids by December 3, 2025, and adhere to DART's comprehensive terms and conditions. All submissions must be made through the in-browser BidTable interface, with careful attention to detailed vendor response fields and supporting documentation.
While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly mentioned in the provided documentation, vendors must meet DART's rigorous procurement standards. The contract includes specific payment terms of Net 30, with invoices required to be submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and containing detailed information such as purchase order number, item number, description, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. The Authority reserves the right to terminate orders for non-performance, emphasizing the importance of timely and accurate delivery. Though the exact contract value is not specified, the procurement appears to be for a specific hardware component with potential for ongoing supply requirements. Vendors should be prepared for strict compliance with delivery schedules, as failure to meet specified timelines could result in order rejection and potential default termination by the contracting authority.

DART does not typically accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add terms. **Delivery Terms Notice -** Time and rate of deliveries are of the essence of this order. Seller's failure to deliver at the time and rate specified shall be the basis for rejection and default termination by the Authority (*Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority*). **Payment Terms Notice -** All vendors are advised that DART's payment terms are Net 30. Invoices shall be submitted (APInvoices@dart.org) in triplicate (one copy shall be marked 'Original"), unless otherwise specified, and shall contain the following information: purchase order number; item number; purchase order description of supplies, services, or construction; sizes; quantities; unit prices; and extended totals. Unless otherwise specified, payment will be made on partial deliveries accepted by the Authority when the amount due on such deliveries so warrants. *Invoices will be paid 30 days from receipt of the invoice or 30 days from receipt of the order, whichever is later, unless other payment terms have been agreed upon in writing.* **Termination for Default Notice -** The Contracting Officer may by written notice terminate this order, in whole or in part, for failure of the Seller to perform any of the provisions hereof within the time periods specified. In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12. As used in this provision, the term "subcontractor" and "subcontractors" means subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers at any level.
