About this opportunity

The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) is seeking bids for transit coach fluids and absorbent products to be supplied and delivered on an as-needed basis, with proposals due September 16, 2026.

The scope encompasses fluids and absorbent materials essential to daily fleet operations, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs across SORTA's transit coach fleet serving Hamilton County and Cleveland. Deliverables are as-needed supplies rather than fixed quantities, with the awardee responsible for reliable on-call availability.

The contract incorporates an Economic Price Adjustment clause limiting upward adjustments to 3 percent per year per individual item and 6 percent cumulatively over the contract term, applying only to materials listed in the Schedule and subject to production-cost verification. SORTA retains audit rights over the Contractor's books, records, and manufacturer notifications to validate adjustment requests.

The General Terms and Conditions require the contractor to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses and permits, maintain comprehensive insurance including general liability of not less than $1 million per occurrence with SORTA named as additional insured, and comply with federal and state regulations including equal employment opportunity, Americans with Disabilities Act, wage and hour standards, and drug-free workplace requirements. SORTA is exempt from state sales tax and federal excise taxes; the contractor bears all tax liability arising from its activities. Payment is due within thirty calendar days of invoice approval. The contractor must maintain cost documentation for three years after final payment and grant SORTA access to records for audit. All tangible personal property purchased becomes SORTA's sole property upon payment. SORTA reserves the right to modify terms, terminate for convenience or default, and assign contract rights to other public transportation agencies or governmental entities.

No contract value, incumbent, or evaluation criteria are specified in the available materials.
