About this opportunity
The City of Monroe is seeking competitive bids for a trailer-mounted, diesel powered pump to serve as a critical backup for their water treatment facility. The procurement is specifically designed to provide an emergency water pumping solution in the event that primary pumps become non-operational. Vendors interested in responding to this Invitation to Bid must submit their proposals by April 25, 2025, with all questions required to be submitted in writing to purchase@monroega.gov no later than 5:00 pm on April 9, 2025. The city will provide a comprehensive list of questions and answers as an addendum by 5:00 pm on April 11, 2025, which will be distributed to registered companies and posted on their website. The procurement is located within Wilcox County, Georgia, and appears to be focused on acquiring a specialized piece of municipal infrastructure equipment that can ensure continuous water treatment operations during potential equipment failures.
While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, the procurement appears to be open to standard commercial vendors capable of supplying municipal-grade emergency water pumping equipment. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are mentioned in the available information. The document does not specify a precise budget range or award value for the trailer-mounted diesel powered pump. The procurement seems standard and does not indicate any specific restrictions on bidder qualifications beyond the ability to provide a functional, trailer-mounted diesel pump that meets the city's emergency water infrastructure needs. Interested vendors should carefully review the attached government file "Pump Posting 3_24_25.pdf" for additional technical specifications and bidding requirements that may not be immediately apparent in the initial contract opportunity description.
