About this opportunity
The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protections (DATCP) has issued a competitive solicitation (TR-WM-78) for procurement of Weights and Measures Blue Stickers, targeting Dane County and Madison City jurisdictions. The procurement involves producing 50,000 total stickers, configured as 200 rolls with 250 stickers per 3" core roll, with specific technical requirements including a 2" x 2" size, rounded corners, black and PMS 292 Blue ink, and white gloss polypropylene stock with laminate. Critical performance specifications mandate that the decals must be UV and weather resistant, impervious to gasoline and cleaning agents, and capable of withstanding extreme Wisconsin environmental conditions ranging from sub-zero to 100-degree temperatures. The decals must maintain adherence to multiple surfaces (metal, plastic, glass) for a minimum two-year period with non-fading ink. The solicitation was posted on April 28, 2025, with proposals due by May 5, 2025, and requires delivery to the DATCP headquarters at 2811 Agriculture Dr, Madison, WI 53718, with specific packaging and labeling instructions.
No specific set-aside designations or vendor restrictions were explicitly mentioned in the contract opportunity documentation. The procurement appears to be an open competitive bid without predetermined limitations on business type or size. While no incumbent vendor information was provided, the technical specifications suggest a specialized manufacturing capability is required to meet the stringent performance requirements. The total procurement value can be estimated at approximately $10,000-$15,000 based on the volume of 50,000 stickers, though the exact budget range is not specified in the documentation. Potential vendors will need specialized printing capabilities to produce decals meeting the precise technical specifications, including UV resistance, weather durability, chemical imperviousness, and precise dimensional and color requirements. Interested bidders should carefully review the full solicitation documents to ensure complete compliance with all technical and performance criteria.
