Update #2 · Latest ·

Fremont County intends to replace the existing roofing system at the Fremont County Department of Human Services Building. The building roof is approximately 120 feet by 275 feet, or approximately 33,000 square feet. These dimensions and the approximate roof area are provided solely as an aid to proposers to get a general idea of its size. Each proposer is responsible for independently field-verifying all dimensions, quantities, roof conditions, penetrations, equipment locations, perimeter conditions, access requirements, and other conditions affecting the work. The existing roof consists of a PVC single-ply roofing system over an existing standing-seam metal roof deck/system. The existing roof is to remain in place except where removal is specifically required for repair, replacement, preparation, or installation of the new roofing system. The project shall generally consist of recovering the existing roof with a new thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roofing assembly. The County has obtained a Carlisle SynTec Systems preliminary system review identifying two potential roof assemblies for the project. These assemblies are included as the basis of design for the two pricing options required by this RFP. The County is seeking two separately priced roofing alternatives: Option 1 - Enhanced Roofing System / 2-Inch Hail Coverage and Option 2 - Standard Roofing System / No Required 2-Inch Hail Coverage. Both will require a 20 year warranty. The County intends for both options to have substantially identical scopes of work other than the width/rating of the TPO membrane and the associated differences in using those separate products, so that the County may make a direct comparison between the two roofing systems.
