About this opportunity
SUNY Upstate Medical University is seeking to procure Toddler Beds and Related Products through a contract awarded by Vizient, utilizing section 163 (3) (vi) which allows purchases from a consortium without a formal competitive process. The procurement is specifically located in Onondaga County and will cover toddler bed equipment with strict clinical performance requirements. Vendors must demonstrate equivalency to the specified equipment by providing free supporting clinical documentation and allowing equipment examination and trial. The contract opportunity is open until August 7, 2025, at 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Time, with the contract term extending through the expiration of Vizient Contract CE7545. Interested vendors must contact Virginia Frost as the sole permissible point of communication, and must be authorized to sell the specified toddler bed equipment or an approved equivalent. Vendors must comply with New York State Finance Law 139 j&k (Lobbying Law), with potential consequences ranging from contract denial to debarment from New York State agency sales.
The procurement does not include any set-aside designations for service-disabled veteran-owned, minority-owned, women-owned, or disadvantaged businesses, with all subcontracting goals set at 0%. No business entities have been awarded an identical or substantially similar procurement contract within the past five years. Successful contractors will be required to submit current New York State Workers' Compensation and Disability Forms. While specific award values are not detailed, the procurement is structured as a quote-based process before the advertisement's expiration. The opportunity is specifically tied to Vizient Contract CE7545 and is not a formal bid process. Vendors must be prepared to provide comprehensive documentation demonstrating their ability to meet the clinical performance standards for toddler bed equipment. The procurement appears to be focused on securing high-quality medical equipment for pediatric or medical settings within the SUNY Upstate Medical University system.
