About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) in Dallas County, Texas, is seeking to procure a timer, air dryer, E1A air compressor, and related components specifically for Fleet vehicles 53 and 54. This procurement opportunity requires vendors to submit comprehensive bids through the Bonfire registration platform, with a strict submission deadline of January 19, 2026. The solicitation mandates that all bids include FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs incorporated into the overall price, and vendors must provide detailed invoicing that includes purchase order number, item number, description, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. Critical performance requirements include precise delivery timing, as DART considers delivery time and rate essential to the order, with potential for rejection and default termination if delivery specifications are not met. Vendors must adhere to DART's Net 30 payment terms and submit invoices electronically to APInvoices@dart.org.
The contract opportunity appears to have no specific set-aside designations or restrictions on vendor participation, though vendors must meet several compliance requirements. These include providing commercial warranty coverage meeting merchantable quality standards, demonstrating equal opportunity employment practices, certifying that they do not appear on the Texas Comptroller's Foreign Terrorist Organization list, and agreeing not to boycott Israel. While no specific budget range is explicitly stated in the provided documentation, the procurement involves specialized equipment for transit fleet maintenance. Potential vendors should be prepared to provide high-quality replacement components compatible with DART's existing fleet infrastructure. The Contracting Officer retains significant discretion in contract administration, including the ability to make written changes, terminate for default or convenience, and render final decisions on contract disputes, with a 30-day window for appeals.

The complete PO Terms and Conditions PDF is available for download in the "Supporting Documentation" section below. **Freight Terms Notice -** Please ensure that all bids/quotes reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with the freight cost included in the overall price. DART does not typically accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add terms. **Delivery Terms Notice -** Time and rate of deliveries are of the essence of this order. Seller's failure to deliver at the time and rate specified shall be the basis for rejection and default termination by the Authority (*Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority*). **Payment Terms Notice -** All vendors are advised that DART's payment terms are Net 30. Invoices shall be submitted (APInvoices@dart.org) in triplicate (one copy shall be marked 'Original"), unless otherwise specified, and shall contain the following information: purchase order number; item number; purchase order description of supplies, services, or construction; sizes; quantities; unit prices; and extended totals. Unless otherwise specified, payment will be made on partial deliveries accepted by the Authority when the amount due on such deliveries so warrants. *Invoices will be paid 30 days from receipt of the invoice or 30 days from receipt of the order, whichever is later, unless other payment terms have been agreed upon in writing.* **Termination for Default Notice -** The Contracting Officer may by written notice terminate this order, in whole or in part, for failure of the Seller to perform any of the provisions hereof within the time periods specified. In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12. As used in this provision, the term "subcontractor" and "subcontractors" means subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers at any level.
