THC RFQ 808-24-241993 Magoffin Emergency Architect Engineer Professional Services

The Texas Historical Commission (THC) is seeking expressions of interest and Statements of Qualifications from qualified individuals or firms to provide professional architectural/engineering services for Visitor Center Structural Repair Design at the Magoffin Home State Historic Site located in El Paso, Texas. The project involves addressing foundation movement and inadequate connections between the brick and wood framing of the circa 1901 two-story brick building. The scope of services includes construction document preparation, bidding assistance, and construction administration. Responses to the RFQ are due by July 17, 2024, and the contract term is from the award date through June 30, 2027, with options to extend for two additional one-year terms.

The RFQ outlines requirements for the qualifications submittal, including experience with historic masonry buildings, use of subconsultants, and compliance with HUB (Historically Underutilized Business) participation goals. Pricing will be negotiated with the selected firm, and payment will be based on the work completed and accepted. This procurement does not have an incumbent contractor, and funding is dependent on appropriations by the Texas Legislature. The RFQ is for the state of Texas, specifically in the jurisdictions of El Paso County and the City of El Paso.
