About this opportunity
The State of North Carolina, through Appalachian State University, is seeking proposals for a contract to provide outdoor tennis and softball lighting that meets NCAA regional and national broadcast standards. The desired lighting system must include LED light fixtures, web-based on/off switches, and a minimum 60-foot tall poles. The successful vendor(s) will be responsible for the complete installation of the lighting system, which must be completed by January 1, 2025. Vendors will be evaluated based on their qualifications, technical capabilities, cost, and references, with a focus on experience in the higher education sector. Proposals are due by July 5, 2024, and the contract will have an initial term of one year.
Historically Underutilized Businesses are encouraged to participate in this procurement. The University reserves the right to award to multiple vendors or cancel the RFP. Pricing should be provided for the total cost of the lighting system, including installation, and vendors are encouraged to offer any additional incentives such as sponsorships or donated materials. The University has not identified any incumbent vendors or current contractors for this opportunity, and the overall budget range has not been specified.
