About this opportunity
The Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Veterans Services is soliciting quotes for temporary laundry services at Jones and Cabacoy Veterans Care Center in Virginia Beach, with quotes due July 15, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. through the eVA system. No set-asides or preferences are specified.
The scope covers daily pickup, washing, drying, folding, and return delivery of approximately 400 to 600 pounds of laundry — flat sheets, fitted sheets, blankets, pillowcases, bed liners, hospital gowns, body towels, hand towels, wash cloths, and clothing protectors. Bleach is prohibited. Pricing must be submitted as an all-inclusive per-pound rate covering washing, drying, folding, and round-trip delivery to and from Virginia Beach.
The contract term and renewal options are not specified. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on net prices. Bidders must be registered in eVA and are subject to a vendor transaction fee of 1 percent capped at $500 for DSBSD-certified small businesses or $1,500 for other businesses. The Commonwealth retains a 90-day cancellation clause without penalty and may require phase-in/phase-out services for up to 90 days after contract expiration. All standard Virginia procurement conditions apply, including insurance requirements, anti-discrimination provisions, and compliance with the Virginia Vendors Manual.
