About this opportunity
The Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA) is seeking temporary fencing services through a Request for Proposals (RFP) to support the FIFA Fan Festival at Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta, Georgia. The procurement requires suppliers to provide and install 10,000 linear feet of 8-foot panel fencing, 50 wheeled gates, and 10,000 linear feet of black mesh fencing material, along with a detailed ballast and/or wind bracing plan since staking is not permitted on park grounds. Qualified respondents must demonstrate five consecutive years of experience in related event fencing services and provide three qualification references, including one from a similar public or quasi-public client, current financial statements or Dun & Bradstreet reports, and insurance certificates with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per person and per accident and $3,000,000 aggregate for public liability. The project timeline encompasses load-in from May 26 through June 11, 2026, 21 event days from June 11 through July 15, 2026, and load-out from July 16 through July 22, 2026. Evaluation criteria are weighted at 70% for technical merit—including event experience and capacity, equipment quality and condition, flexibility and scalability, reliability and service support, logistics and installation coordination, and communications and project management—and 30% for cost. The written question deadline is February 26, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., with answers posted February 27, 2026, and the proposal submission deadline is March 6, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Selected contractors may be required to conduct a site survey between March and April 2026 at their own expense.
The GWCCA encourages participation from small businesses, female-owned businesses, and minority-owned businesses, and contractors utilizing qualified minority subcontractors may qualify for Georgia state income tax credits. Georgia-resident proposers will receive reciprocal preference consideration. All proposers must be registered with the federal E-Verify program, maintain compliance throughout the contract period, provide notarized certification forms, non-discrimination agreements, and evidence of compliance with Georgia security and immigration laws. The Award Notice indicates that Custom Fence of Atlanta has been selected as the Apparent Awardee; however, no specific contract value or budget range is disclosed in the available documentation. Proposals must be submitted in one flash drive, one original marked copy, and five hardcopies in sealed envelopes to the GWCCA Purchasing Department, and proposals remain open for acceptance for 120 days following the submission deadline. A communication restriction is in effect throughout the procurement process, prohibiting interested firms from communicating with Authority staff or officials except through formal question submission procedures, with violations subject to submittal rejection.
