About this opportunity
Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, Purchasing Department, is issuing Request for Quotation (RFQ) #300624/SM for the purchase and delivery of teehead bolts and nuts on a term contract basis. The procurement seeks firm, fixed pricing for carbon steel teehead bolts and nuts for Mechanical Joint (MJ) assemblies that must comply with Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department Minimum Engineering and Construction Standards. The solicitation includes eight line items with specifications for varying sizes ranging from 5/8" to 1 1/2" in diameter and 3" to 6" in lengths, with estimated annual quantities totaling approximately 4,490 units. Quotations must be received by August 5, 2022, at 4:00 P.M. Palm Beach County Local Time. The initial contract term is twelve months or until the estimated amount is expended, at the County's discretion, with an option to renew for four additional twelve-month periods. Delivery is required within twenty-one calendar days of receiving a delivery order, with F.O.B. point at destination and all freight and shipping charges included in unit pricing. Unit prices must remain firm for ninety days from the opening date and throughout all contract terms, and awards will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible quoter on an all-or-none, total offer basis.
Vendors must select only one manufacturer per item from two approved options: Russell MSG or Birmingham Fastener, Inc. Small, minority, and women-owned business enterprises (S/M/WBE) within 10% of the lowest responsive, responsible vendor may receive preferential consideration, and local preference may be extended to quoters with a permanent place of business in Palm Beach County or the Glades. All vendors must be registered in the County's Vendor Self Service (VSS) system, and all subcontractors must also maintain registration. Successful quoters must furnish factory/manufacturer warranty on all items against defects in materials and workmanship, effective upon delivery and acceptance. All responses must be submitted on the County's provided Response Form, signed by an authorized representative, with required certifications including Commercial Non-Discrimination Certification, Drug-Free Workplace Certification, and Certification of Business Location for those claiming local preference. No incumbent vendors or budget range information is specified in the procurement documents.
