About this opportunity
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is seeking competitive bids for targeted Burmese python removal services in south Florida, primarily in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. The selected vendor will be required to visually survey for, capture, humanely kill, and dispose of Burmese pythons and other large non-native constrictor species in order to mitigate the spread and impact of these invasive species. The contract will be effective for one year with the option to renew for up to one additional year. The FWC has an estimated budget of $500,000 for this project, and bids exceeding this amount will be considered non-responsive. Vendors must be registered in the MyFloridaMarketPlace system and with the State of Florida's Sunbiz system prior to the bid opening. Bids are due by August 12, 2022 at 3:00 PM ET, with the public bid opening to follow immediately.
The FWC is encouraging participation from minority, women, and veteran-owned business enterprises. No incumbent vendors or current contractors have been identified. The FWC has not specified any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration.
