About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for caution tape in roll format under purchase order number 2097750. This procurement opportunity, posted on January 29, 2026, with a due date of February 5, 2026, seeks qualified vendors to supply caution tape rolls meeting DART's operational requirements. The deliverables consist of caution tape products supplied in roll format; however, specific quantities, tape dimensions, color specifications, and performance standards are accessible through DART's BONFIRE registration system and the in-browser BidTable, which vendors must access by initiating the "Prepare Your Submission" process. Key objectives include securing reliable supply of caution tape for DART's transit operations with strict adherence to delivery schedules, as timely delivery is identified as essential to the order. Required qualifications include the ability to meet FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall bid price, compliance with Net 30 payment terms, and submission of invoices in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org containing purchase order numbers, item numbers, descriptions, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. Vendors must provide commercial warranties affirming merchantable quality and suitability for intended use. The evaluation criteria emphasize delivery performance, pricing competitiveness, and adherence to DART's Terms and Conditions; failure to meet specified delivery schedules may result in order rejection and default termination. All bids must be submitted by February 5, 2026.

The solicitation documentation does not specify set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise restrictions, or preferences for particular organization types, suggesting this is an open competitive procurement available to all qualified vendors. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available documentation. The procurement does not reference integration with existing infrastructure or technology systems beyond standard invoice submission procedures. The specific award value or budget range for this purchase order is not disclosed in the publicly available solicitation materials; vendors should consult the detailed BidTable and supporting documentation within the BONFIRE system for pricing expectations and additional commercial terms. DART retains the authority to terminate the order for convenience or default, with disputes subject to appeal within 30 days of the Contracting Officer's written decision. All pricing must be inclusive of applicable federal, state, and local taxes and duties, with DART exempt from Texas state and local sales and use taxes.
