About this opportunity

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking a services contract for Contra Flow Gate Arms through an electronic Request for Quote (eRFQ) with a solicitation ID of 67ea74c1d7bc1e77b208d288. The procurement focuses on inspection, servicing, repair, installation, and replacement of manually operated contra flow gate arms along Interstate Highway I-16 (Jim Gillis Historic Savannah Parkway) and State Route 404, spanning 166.8 miles across eleven Georgia counties from Macon to Savannah. The contract requires bidders to be registered with the State of Georgia Office of Secretary of State and have an active registration in Team Georgia Marketplace to access and submit solicitation documents. Vendors must provide their full legal company name and include a signature from the principal or authorized agent. The solicitation was posted on March 25, 2025, with proposals due by April 22, 2025. Technical support for the bidding process is available through the DOAS Customer Service Help Desk at 404-657-6000, operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET, excluding state holidays.

The procurement appears to have no specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. Bidders must demonstrate capability to work across multiple counties and have technical expertise in gate arm infrastructure maintenance and installation. While specific budget ranges are not detailed in the provided documentation, the comprehensive geographic scope suggests a potentially significant contract value covering maintenance and operational needs across a complex transportation corridor. The solicitation is structured as a services contract, indicating potential ongoing or recurring service requirements rather than a one-time procurement. Vendors will need to demonstrate technical competence in gate arm systems, understanding of transportation infrastructure maintenance, and compliance with state registration requirements. The contract appears focused on ensuring reliable operational readiness of contra flow gate arms along a critical transportation route connecting major Georgia cities.
