About this opportunity

The City of Fremont is requesting proposals for scheduled monthly maintenance, periodic advanced-care cleaning, inspection, and on-call repair services for synthetic turf athletic fields across four service locations, with proposals due October 30, 2026 and questions due by 2:00 p.m. on October 14, 2026.

The four service locations total approximately 411,000 square feet: Central Park Multi-Use Synthetic Fields (180,000 sq. ft.), Centerville Community Park Synthetic Baseball Field (64,000 sq. ft.), Irvington Community Park Multi-Use Synthetic Fields (67,000 sq. ft.), and Karl Nordvik Community Park Multi-Use Synthetic Fields (100,000 sq. ft.). Services must preserve field appearance, playability, drainage, infill distribution, fiber condition, seam and inlay integrity, and comply with turf manufacturer maintenance requirements while minimizing disruption to recreation programs and public use.

Contractors must demonstrate experience maintaining and repairing synthetic turf athletic fields of comparable type and use, possess all required licenses and certifications, and provide trained personnel. A performance and payment bond equal to 100 percent of the total contract amount is required. The contractor shall maintain specified insurance coverage, correct any defects or errors at no cost to the City, and warrant repair workmanship and materials for one year from City acceptance.

Compensation is structured on accepted fixed prices for monthly maintenance visits and annual advanced-care services per field, with on-call repairs paid using accepted unit prices or authorized time-and-material rates subject to the City's written not-to-exceed authorization. The contract commences upon execution and continues for a specified term with the option for the City to renew for up to additional one-year terms upon thirty days' advance written notice. Proposals must be submitted through www.bidnetdirect.com/cityoffremont as a single PDF document containing a cover letter and four exhibits: Scope of Services, Billing Rates, Statement of Qualifications, and Terms of Service Agreement. The City anticipates award by approximately December 2026. Q&A responses will be posted by October 21, 2026.
