About this opportunity

Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART), serving Dallas County, Texas, is procuring a solenoid lock switch with controller transformer (Opportunity #2099242). The procurement solicitation was posted on May 13, 2026, with a submission deadline of May 20, 2026. Prospective vendors must register on the BONFIRE platform to access complete project details and the bid table, which contains specifications and vendor response fields accessible through the "Prepare Your Submission" process. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall quoted price, and timely delivery is essential to the contract, with seller failure to meet specified delivery schedules constituting grounds for rejection and default termination. Payment will be made under Net 30 terms, with invoices submitted to APInvoices@dart.org in triplicate containing the purchase order number, item number, description, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. All proposals are subject to DART's comprehensive Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, available in the Supporting Documentation section.

The solicitation does not explicitly identify any set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise restrictions, or incumbent vendor information in the posted materials. No specific evaluation criteria, award values, or budget ranges are disclosed in the opportunity summary. Organizations interested in responding should carefully review the complete Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document and the detailed bid table specifications to ensure full compliance with DART's requirements and operational standards. Vendors must be prepared to meet DART's strict delivery and performance expectations as outlined in the contract terms.

DART does not typically accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add terms. **Delivery Terms Notice -** Time and rate of deliveries are of the essence of this order. In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12.
