About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for the purchase of a rotary switch (Item #2098350) through a purchase order process. This procurement is posted on the Texas Bonfire system and requires vendors to register and access the bid details through the in-browser BidTable for complete project specifications and vendor response fields. The solicitation was posted on March 17, 2026, with a submission deadline of March 31, 2026. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, and vendors must comply with DART's standard Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which establish strict delivery schedules and performance requirements. Vendors are required to submit invoices in triplicate containing the purchase order number, item number, description, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals, with payment processed within 30 days of invoice receipt or 30 days from receipt of the order, whichever is later. Sellers must provide commercial warranties covering merchantable quality and suitability for intended use, and failure to meet specified delivery timelines constitutes grounds for order rejection and default termination.
The procurement documentation does not identify specific set-aside designations or restrictions limiting vendor eligibility based on business classification or disadvantaged enterprise status. Vendors are required to meet standard compliance certifications, including confirmation that they are not listed on the Texas Comptroller's list of companies with foreign terrorist organization contracts and that they do not boycott Israel. No incumbent vendor information or specific award value range is disclosed in the available documentation; however, vendors should note that DART is exempt from Texas state and local sales and use taxes, and any such taxes included on invoices will be deducted from payment amounts. Interested vendors must initiate the "Prepare Your Submission" process on the Bonfire portal to access complete project details, specifications, and the detailed bid table necessary to prepare a responsive proposal.
