About this opportunity
The Town of Shelton, Connecticut is issuing an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for Sweeper Broome (Bid #2026-29) through its transition to the OpenGov procurement platform. The solicitation opened on April 29, 2026 at 9:00 AM EDT and closes on May 20, 2026 at 11:00 AM EDT. However, the available solicitation documentation does not specify line items, quantities, product or service details, site visit information, or bidders' conference details necessary to fully characterize the goods or services being procured. All vendors are eligible to respond regardless of size or designation. Vendors must register through the OpenGov portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/cityofshelton to submit bids, and all communications and questions must occur exclusively through the OpenGov platform. The primary contact for inquiries is Elizabeth Saint John at the Town of Shelton, reachable at 203-924-1555 or e.saintjohn@cityofshelton.org. The Town of Shelton will not accept paper bids and requires vendors to monitor their email, including spam folders, for all OpenGov notifications and communications.
No set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise restrictions, or preferences for specific organization types are identified in the available documentation. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are listed, and no existing infrastructure or technology integration requirements are specified. The delivery terms are designated as Free On Board Destination, with payment terms to be determined by the vendor's proposal. No estimated total contract value or budget range is provided in the solicitation materials. Interested vendors should note that the Town of Shelton's transition to OpenGov means this is a digital-only procurement process, and failure to register and monitor the platform may result in missing critical deadline or requirement updates.
