About this opportunity
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is seeking bids for the SW Marshfield Wastewater Extension Project, located at 331 Pin Oak Loop in Marshfield, Missouri, within Warren County. The procurement involves the comprehensive installation of wastewater infrastructure, including two grinder pumps with 5 Hp motors, an FRP lift station, valve vault, flow meter, piping, gravity sewer pipe, and sanitary sewer manholes. The project requires constructing approximately 0.75 miles of 2-inch force main with air valves and 0.25 miles of gravity sanitary sewer that will connect to the City of Marshfield collection system. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 10, 2024, at 1:00 PM, with written questions due by October 22, 2024, and addendums to be posted by October 24, 2024. Bids are due on November 1, 2024, at 2:00 PM CDT, with a project completion deadline of December 31, 2025. Bidders must submit a comprehensive proposal including a lump sum base bid and a per cubic yard price for additional rock excavation, with the base bid including an 800 cubic yard rock excavation allowance.
The solicitation encourages participation from Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE), with specific participation goals of 10% and 5%, respectively. Bidders must submit a bid bond or certified check for 5% of the total bid amount, and the successful contractor will be required to provide a 100% performance and payment bond. The project falls under Missouri Prevailing Wage Law and requires compliance with OSHA safety program requirements, including a ten-hour construction safety program. Contractors must provide proof of OSHA 10-hour training for all employees and carry specific insurance coverage, including $4,000,000 in general and automobile liability. Liquidated damages of $700 per day will be assessed for late completion, and the contractor must coordinate with MoDOT for required hold point inspections. While no specific budget range is explicitly stated, the comprehensive nature of the infrastructure project suggests a significant investment in upgrading the wastewater system for the Marshfield Maintenance Complex.
