About this opportunity
SUNY Stony Brook University Hospital is seeking to procure Surgical Video Towers and Related Products through Vizient Contract #CE7348, utilizing procurement authority under section 163 (3) (vi) which allows purchasing from a consortium without a formal competitive process. The procurement is specifically located in Suffolk County and Swan Lake CDP, with a posted date of August 19, 2025, and a proposal due date of September 10, 2025. Vendors selling equivalent Surgical Ceiling Systems and Related Products are invited to contact Richard Frenger to discuss the procurement details. The hospital recommends vendors file a Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire through the New York State VendRep System, which requires vendors to provide their New York State Vendor Identification Number. Potential vendors must adhere strictly to the procurement's communication guidelines, as this opportunity is subject to NYS Finance Law 139 j&k (the Lobbying Law), with potential consequences ranging from contract disqualification to debarment from sales to New York State agencies.
The procurement appears to have no specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, and no incumbent vendors are explicitly mentioned. Vendors must complete the Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire, which can be done online through the VendRep System or via paper submission. For technical assistance or vendor ID assignment, vendors can contact the Office of the State Comptroller's Help Desk at 866-370-4672 or via email at ciohelpdesk@osc.state.ny.us. While no specific budget range is provided, the procurement is being conducted through an existing consortium contract (Vizient #CE7348), which suggests pre-negotiated pricing structures. Interested vendors should carefully review the Consortia Purchasing Guidelines available at the provided URL and ensure compliance with all procurement requirements to maintain eligibility for potential contract award.
