About this opportunity
Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking procurement for sun shades and side window components, with a solicitation posted on December 8, 2025, and responses due by December 12, 2025. This urgent procurement opportunity emphasizes rapid fulfillment, with award decisions based on a combination of pricing and item availability. Vendors must register through Bonfire to access full bid details and submit comprehensive responses that include delivery timelines and pricing information. The procurement requires strict adherence to FOB Destination shipping terms, with freight costs integrated into overall pricing. Key evaluation criteria include timely delivery capabilities, competitive pricing, and ability to meet DART's specific product requirements. Vendors must submit detailed proposals demonstrating product specifications, delivery schedules, and complete compliance with purchase order terms and conditions. The solicitation mandates that time and delivery rates are essential, with potential rejection or default termination for failure to meet specified delivery parameters.
While no specific set-aside designations are explicitly mentioned, the procurement includes several important vendor qualifications and compliance requirements. Vendors must certify they do not boycott Israel, comply with equal opportunity employment provisions, and have no pecuniary interests with DART officials. The contract terms indicate potential integration with existing DART transit infrastructure, though specific technological requirements are not detailed. Payment terms are standardized at Net 30, with invoices to be submitted electronically to APInvoices@dart.org in triplicate format. Vendors must provide comprehensive invoice documentation including purchase order number, item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. The contract will be governed by Texas law with venue in Dallas County, and DART reserves the right to terminate orders for convenience or default. While no specific budget range is provided, the procurement suggests a focused, time-sensitive acquisition of specialized transit-related equipment.
