About this opportunity
The City of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin is seeking bids for a comprehensive bike wayfinding signage project funded through a TAP Grant. The procurement involves the installation of 145 signposts with bicycle wayfinding signage, including 12' galvanized steel square posts, anchors, sleeves, and associated hardware. Specific deliverables include 242 Sun Prairie logo and bike route top signs, 242 finger board signs, and 77 painted shared lane arrow markings featuring double chevron and bicycle symbols. Bids will be accepted electronically through QuestCDN until 12:59 p.m. on September 2, 2025, with the bid opening scheduled for 1:00 p.m. that same day at the City of Sun Prairie Engineering Office. Bidders must pay a $42.00 fee to access project documents and submit electronic bid bonds. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids and may hold bids for up to 60 days for review and bidder qualification assessment.
The procurement appears to have no specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, though successful bidders must comply with Federal and State OSHA requirements and adhere to Davis-Bacon and Wisconsin Prevailing Wage laws. While no incumbent vendors are mentioned, contractors will need to integrate signage with existing urban infrastructure in Dane County. The project scope suggests a comprehensive wayfinding system aimed at improving bicycle navigation and infrastructure within Sun Prairie. Bidders will need technical capabilities for signpost installation, sign fabrication, and road marking. Though a specific budget range is not disclosed, the extensive scope of 145 signposts, 242 signs, and 77 lane markings indicates a substantial municipal investment in bicycle infrastructure and urban mobility improvements.
