About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting bids on Styrofoam billets and float drums for Fiscal Year 2010, with bids due October 21, 2009.
Bidders must submit separate unit prices for each item using prescribed forms or electronic media. All bids must be received electronically at the Division of Purchases, Room 119, 9 State House Station, State Office Building, Augusta, Maine by the closing deadline; late submissions will not be considered. Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder on the basis of individual items or groups of items as deemed in the State's best interest, considering quality, conformance to specifications, delivery date, and ultimate cost. The State reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities or technicalities, increase or decrease quantities by up to 10%, and resolve tie bids by awarding to in-state bidders or those offering Maine-manufactured commodities.
Pricing must exclude Federal and Maine State Sales and Use Taxes; all transportation charges, including freight and express delivery, shall be prepaid and borne by the contractor unless otherwise specified. Cash discounts of 20 days or more will be considered in determining the low bidder; discounts under 20 days will not factor into award decisions. If the goods include hazardous chemicals, suppliers must provide current material safety data sheets in accordance with Maine's Chemical Substance Identification Law. Contractors must comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations. Bid tabulations will be available for public inspection following contract award.
