About this opportunity

Stony Brook University Hospital is procuring Stryker Hospital Prime Stretchers through a GPO contract (PREMIER GPO PP-NS-1569) with questions due July 29, 2026. The hospital is exercising consortium purchasing authority under New York State Finance Law section 163(3)(vi), which permits commodity purchases from a GPO without formal competitive process when justified by price.

Vendors offering equivalent Hospital Prime Stretchers may respond if they meet the clinical performance and key performance indicators of the Stryker product. Equivalency claims require free supporting clinical documentation and equipment for examination, demonstration, and trial at vendor expense. All vendors must be authorized by the original equipment manufacturer to sell their offered products as listed on the GPO contract or as an approved equivalent. If requested, vendors must provide at no cost supporting documentation, software, transportation, setup, removal, products, equipment, supplies, and accessories for examination, demonstration, and trial.

All questions and requests for information must be submitted via email to Bruno Zambonino. New York State Finance Law sections 139j and 139k (Lobbying Law) apply; vendors are restricted to contact with Zambonino only. Contacting other Stony Brook staff in connection with this procurement constitutes a violation that can result in no contract award or debarment from all New York State agencies.

The successful contractor must submit valid and current New York State Workman's Compensation and Disability Forms. Stryker holds an identical or substantially similar contract awarded within the past five years and holds Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business certification.
