Bidders must hold proper licenses under North Carolina General Statutes Chapter 87. Insurance requirements include Commercial General Liability and Business Automobile coverage of $1 million per occurrence and Workers' Compensation coverage of $100,000 for employer's liability and bodily injury by disease per employee, with $500,000 for the disease policy limit, with the Town named as additional insured. Bid bonds or cash deposits equal to at least 5% of the proposal amount are required, and the successful bidder must maintain performance and payment bonds for the full contract sum.
The project uses no federal or state funding. Contract execution is anticipated for December 4, 2026, with project completion required within 120 days after Notice to Proceed. The pre-bid conference and optional site visit occur at Town Hall, 405 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
