About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is soliciting bids on storage services with proposals due March 25, 2008.
The scope encompasses storage order requirements and related logistics operations, though the attached storage order document does not specify quantities of storage space, contract term, renewal options, or detailed performance parameters.
Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder offering best value to the State, with evaluation considering quality, conformity with specifications, delivery dates, and ultimate cost. All bids must be submitted electronically to the Division of Purchases, Room 119, 9 State House Station, State Office Building, Augusta, Maine before the closing deadline. Bids received after deadline will not be considered. Cash discounts of 20 days or more will factor into low-bid determination; shorter discounts will not.
Bidders must submit separate unit prices for each item using prescribed forms or electronic media, with all prices delivered to destination and inclusive of applicable discounts. Pricing must exclude Federal and Maine State Sales and Use Taxes. All transportation charges, including freight and express delivery, shall be prepaid by the contractor unless otherwise specified. The State reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive formalities and technicalities. The State may increase or decrease quantities by up to 10% unless otherwise stated. No contract may be assigned, sublet, or transferred without written consent from the Director. Contractors assume liability for defaults and may be charged excess costs for procurement from alternative sources except in cases of strikes, fires, Acts of God, or other causes beyond reasonable prevention. Contractors must provide Material Safety Data Sheets for any hazardous chemicals in accordance with Maine's Chemical Substance Identification Law.
