About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting bids for a Storage Array CX4-960 procurement, with bids due December 17, 2009. In-state bidders and those offering Maine-manufactured commodities receive preference in tie situations under Maine's procurement rules.
The scope comprises two CX4-960C storage arrays configured for Oracle database environments (one target, one source), each with NAVISPHERE MANAGER licenses, premium software support, and three-year premium hardware warranty upgrades; four Brocade 8GB switches with base configurations; rack kits; short-wave SFPs in eight-packs; US/NA power cords; and port upgrade kits. The specification includes fourteen line items with part numbers and quantities establishing a complete storage and switching infrastructure.
Bidders must submit separate unit prices for each item on prescribed forms or electronically to the Division of Purchases, Room 119, 9 State House Station, State Office Building, Augusta, Maine, prior to the December 17 closing time. Pricing must exclude Federal taxes and Maine State Sales and Use taxes. The State reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities, and award on an item-by-item or group basis as deemed in the State's best interest. Awards will consider lowest responsible bid on a best-value basis. Cash discounts of 20 days or longer will be evaluated in determining the lowest bidder; shorter discounts will not be considered. All transportation charges, including freight and express delivery, must be prepaid and borne by the contractor unless otherwise specified. The State retains the right to increase or decrease quantities by up to 10 percent unless otherwise stated. Contractors may not assign, sublet, or transfer contracts without written consent from the Director, and must furnish items exactly as specified on the Purchase Order and comply with applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.
